Welcome to the Rieck Avenue Counseling Department, a supportive and caring space where students' well-being and growth take center stage. Led by our dedicated counselor, Arlene Maggioncalda, and our social worker, Kristin Fasolino, our department is committed to fostering a positive school climate and empowering students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our staff are the heart of our counseling department, bringing a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for nurturing the holistic development of our students. With a focus on fostering positive relationships and creating a safe and inclusive environment, they work diligently to provide a range of services that cater to the diverse needs of our student body.

1. Individual Counseling: Our staff offer personalized one-on-one sessions, providing students with a confidential space to express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Through these sessions, students receive guidance and support in navigating challenges and developing effective coping strategies.
2. Group Counseling: Group sessions provide an opportunity for students to connect with their peers, share experiences, and learn from one another. These sessions are thoughtfully designed to address specific topics such as anti-bullying, character education, and social skills development.
3. Classroom Sessions: Our staff collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging and interactive classroom sessions that focus on essential life skills, character education, and strategies for academic success. These sessions contribute to a well-rounded education that goes beyond textbooks.
