MPS Staff, Students, and Families:
We thank you for your patience and understanding. After consulting with our partner cybersecurity firm, we have reached a decision that will allow us to open our schools tomorrow in the most effective way possible. It has been our goal to limit any disruption to learning while also ensuring the safety of our staff, students, and systems.
As a result, we will be opening all schools tomorrow, February 13th, on a two-hour delay for students only.
- All staff including substitutes will report at their regular contracted start time to prepare for the school day
- Morning Wrap-Around will be available at the Child Family Center from 7:00 – 10:00 AM.
- Morning Latchkey will be available at our elementary schools beginning at 9:00 AM.
Out of a continued abundance of caution, we will be limiting internet access tomorrow to our staff only. All students with school-issued devices in grades 6-12 must leave their devices at home. No student device use will be permitted on the network tomorrow.
At this time, our Google domain, including all Google apps and connected services, will be unavailable to staff and students. Our partner cybersecurity firm will be thoroughly evaluating all other systems tomorrow. Once again, we have no reason to believe any of these other systems have been compromised in any way, but we are following all recommended guidelines from the firm.
Most importantly, all facilities systems are currently online and functional. This includes our phone, PA, and security systems. There will be no risk to the safety or security of our buildings and our school days will operate as normal, apart from limited internet access.

Después de consultar con nuestra firma de seguridad cibernética asociada, hemos tomado una decisión que nos permitirá abrir nuestras escuelas mañana de la manera más efectiva posible. Nuestro objetivo ha sido limitar cualquier interrupción del aprendizaje y al mismo tiempo garantizar la seguridad de nuestro personal, estudiantes y sistemas.
Como resultado, abriremos todas las escuelas mañana, 13 de febrero, con un retraso de dos horas solo para estudiantes.
